Running Accomplishments:

  • Finishing in the boy's race. The girl's race is first. hehe
  • Passing out and hitting a tree during my first race
  • Starting with a 41:48 5k and ending the season with a 28:23
  • Having a 6:43 minute mile
  • Making the best friends of my life. Even Squishy Face.
  • Beating Greg in a 200m dash. He already had ran two.
  • Having a 23 minute 5k
  • Keeping up my revenge by getting on varsity after being temporarily cut from the team.
  • Actually having a coach say that I have potential and am not a screw up.

Short-Term Running Goals:

  • Have a 23 minute 5k Check! And proud of it!
  • Maybe even be on Varsity and wear the spandex -Done! But without the spandex shorts ;)
  • Find some way to do homework while running Done! I love reading Jane Eyre while running
  • Stay on the xc team

Long-Term Running Goals:

  • Run a marathon
  • Beat Bill at some sort of running distance.
  • Coach an xc team

Personal:

I love running, but when I grow up I really want to write and be an english teacher. I also want to coach an xc team. I write a lot and actually like it. I adore Harry Potter and obsess over the book constantly. I do mean constantly. I also love to watch invader zim and play age of empires with my brother. I can recite the Pokemon theme song and hope to be able to recite the pokemon rap soon enough. Soooo YEAH!

For this fun running day, I ran to my school's track (about a mile and a half from my house) and did a mile of speed changes (you know, sprint on the straight, jog on the curve!) and ran/skipped home. After, I had a pr sandwich ;)

So you all know, a pr sandwich is a peanut butter and raspberry jam sandwich. This run was pretty boring. I'm not a huge fan of the track without hurdles. I just need to get used to using it once a week. Sound good Sally?

Well, because I was mad studying for finals and had an extra credit seminar AND had young womens', I decided to just go up to the library, study, and then run home. I did this whole run with my back pack. woohoo!

 This run actually feels like something I like. It was fun to go to the library and be able to study, then run back. It also helped that I could act like a lost back-packer the whole entire time. I got some odd looks!

This was my first run with my team in forever and a half (which is really since december). We went from our school to this trail-park thing and ran around there. After stumbling a few times and being blinded by how white some of the shirtless boys are, I ran back to the school and did my push ups and sit ups. I also made a new friend who is actually real!

How do I feel about this run? It was freaking HOT!!! I felt like I was going to melt and join the river. I also learned that I am not used to trails. I can't count how many times I fell on this run! I am very happy I ran and I can tell I'm getting better.

For this lovely run I ran to my old elementary school, then to Name Droppers, and then home. It was pretty hot, but listening to the pokemon theme song really helps :) Hopefully tomorrow I can go on a stalker run. Be aware ;)

Well, today I went to Sugarhouse park and ran two laps, and then did some hills. Toward the end of the run I was feeling very dizzy and what do you know, I passed out. My brother had to come get me and give me water. :(

YAY! Today I had yearbook signing and then RUNNING!!! My team went down to liberty and ran laps around. The first were Fireman, and then I got to run home! On the way home I stopped by Great Harvest for some delicious bread and it was. :d This equaled up to 4 miles

 Later on in the day I ran around on a stalker run! I sure love those :) This was two miles of stalking

So today I decided that after Raging Waters, why not go pool running? But then I noticed I had no money, after I had ran to the pool. So I ran back home, which equaled up to 3 miles :D

Today I decided to invade schools and run a speed workout at the highland track! After, I did some hills at sugarhouse and ran home. It was fun because I ran with some highland runners too :)

Today I made a deal with my grandpa. He'd let me use his funny watch that tells you how many miles you have ran if I was his caddy without a kart! So I got to be a personal slave and get my miles in for the day! YEAH! Plus I learned that golf courses are really made for xc runners ;)

Today Patti and I went to Sugarhouse park and ran a very long lap around. It was pretty interesting because he went to big 5 and tried on shoes. So that would be a half mile to sugarhouse, two miles around, and a half a mile back home. Hooray!

This week is the kick off of adding more miles in to a week time. So Today I had to go to the dentist for Root Canal: Part One, so I missed running with my team. So after texting my coach, I went to sugar house park on my own and ran around it two times, equaling four miles. One mile warm up, two mile speed changes, and one mile cool down. After I ran home, and since I ran there, that gives me another mile, equaling five miles. After I passed out on my couch for a very long time.

Today I didn't have to go to heck on earth, so I went to cross country practice. We started with two miles warm up to the hospital, down to the stadium, and back to Sunnyside Park. At sunnyside, we did two miles of  fartlek training (one minute pushing, one minute recovery). I had to walk at times because the dizzy feeling was coming back and passing out did NOT sound exciting. After, we played ultimate frisbee for the cool down. I am extremely uncoodinated so not really playing didn't come as a surprise to my team. Hopefully tomorrow will be easier!

Okay, so on my last entry did I say it would be easier? SIKE! Yes, I ran less miles, but the trail my coach sent us on was KILLER! So obviously, I'm going to do it again and again! haha, a lot of hills oddly makes Delaney a happy girl. I will be so much more fit for footlocker this december!

Imagine me, up at seven, waiting on my porch for Patrick to come get me. But oh wait, he fell back asleep! So once again I have to miss a team workout. So instead I ran up to the zoo and worked on some hills on that evil trail. After, I ran home. It was fun to sing while running because singing while running sounds more like gasping to a certain tune :)

Today I ran with my team around Liberty park. We did two miles warm up, two 800's with an 800 in between for recovery, and two miles cool down. It was okay except that I had to start walking a little because the oil fumes were not helping the dizziness. Well, next time I'll try to avoid that ;)

Yikes! Today was the stupidest run EVER! I was running at USU and toward the end the muscle that I stretched in track was acting up again! ewwww! But the run was okay, I can't really talk much more about it

AHHHHHHHHHH! So good and bad things happened to me today. Bad first, while doing the bertha whatevers, I kept having to stop because I kept hurting and coudn't breath. But the good news is that H.J. (Hercules Jeremy) ran one with me to push me (he thought it was just to stay with me, but I pushed). And on the warm up I kept up with Dakota, even though I had to keep stopping because Michelle's dog had to...dispose? haha! Well, I still feel sick, but it was a productive day :D

 Later I ran to the library which is a mile. And than I ran back :D

So today we went to Wheeler Farm and ran fartliks! DEATH! I was feeling so sick, but walking was not in my future! OH YEAH

 Later, I biked six miles, three up hill/level, three down hill. I county this as three miles because down hill doesn't count.
